How shift hours are calculated
We subtract the start time from the end time (treating times as minutes since midnight) and remove any unpaid break minutes. If the end is earlier than the start, the shift is assumed to cross midnight.

FAQ
How are overnight shifts handled?
If your end time is earlier than your start time, we treat the shift as crossing midnight. 22:00 to 06:00 is 8 hours.
